Committed to excellence in pharmaceutical and device research and certification; Dr. Epstein has completed over150 studies as principal investigator. He has experience in a broad range of pharmaceutical and device products. He has worked on and helped develop the clinical and regulatory pathway from early phase and preclinical testing to post marketing studies.
He began working in clinical investigations shortly after leaving the Air Force in 1990, where he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his development of the armed forces ambulatory surgical capabilities. He has developed medical devices and holds patents for several that have been commercialized. Dr Epstein has a long history with the FDA, serving on several advisory boards over a 12 year span. He has served as advisor to numerous manufactures across the industry in all phases of product developmentapproval. Dr. Epstein is a board certified internist and gastroenterologist. He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastrointestinal Association. He has also served a member of the Board of Trustees at Anne Arundel Medical Center, as well as President of the Medical Staff of Anne Arundel Medical Center.
